Greetings from London

I've made it to the UK and, except for a to-the-skin drenching on my first day when I was locked out of Roger's house on account of having a bogus key, things are going great. We've walked miles and miles and I have blisters on my feet to prove it. Thankfully, they have special plasters for blisters here.

Here's a quick list of what we've seen and done so far:
Today and tomorrow I'm on my own. The weather has been most cooperative, but today's it's raining again so my plan is to do some museums. Tomorrow the sun should be out and I'll be taking the Docklands Light Rail down to Greenwich.

Further reports to come.

What?!? "To-the-skin-drenching" despite Lime Green Raincoat? What gives?

Delighted to be a contact of Exspatula -- with 2-count-'em-2 photos on his Flickr page. I took some not-very-good pictures on the Vineyard, maybe only one seascape suitable for upload.

Tim and I now have a Ford F150 in Landscaper Green. I haven't driven it yet, but having had Trooper experience, I am not too concerned.

Your itinerary only whets the appetite for more news. May I echo "Shawn," alias Shawn, in clamoring for photos.

  3. To clarify: I was drenched to the skin below the knees, including soaked feet. And my new messenger bag leaks at every seam and zipper. But the part of me that was covered by my little lime riding hood was dry.

Banksy is a graffiti artist. I'll post pix in due time.
