It's finished!
The Baby Surprise Sweater is done and ready to mail to NYC. I didn't have 5 buttons that matched, so I decided to go with the mismatched vintage buttons. I think it's kind of a bohemian chic look, which is fitting for a little girl who is spending her first months of life going to classes at Columbia. I hope Anju and Rahul send me a picture of Aruni wearing it.
Now I'm going back to knitting socks for moi.
That looks really cute. I'm sure the baby will love it!
ReplyDeleteSeriously cute, and the buttons are absolutely perfect with the variegated yarn. Now I have to make me one of those, and I know who to call if I have trouble! :)
ReplyDeleteFab. You are a crafting inspiration, m'dear. See you at the conference?
ReplyDeleteThis is sooooo cute! I am extremely impressed with your needle skills! You should make a large one for me!
ReplyDeleteI've only heard a few of the songs on the new album, but they were fantastic. The title track is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, sooooooon!
Way to go M.J.! This looks terrific. I especially love your button choice. I'm still waiting to start row 46- my travels have overwhelmed me a bit over the last couple weeks and I haven't had as much knitting time as i'd like. fortunately billy & michelle's baby isn't due to march anyway and since it's not a newborn size, i'm not too stressed. perhaps we can have a catch up call this weekend or early next week? thanks for the birthday message!
